THE OUTREACH CONCERT SERIES
"a community-based program of the Oslo Guitar Society"

The Oslo Guitar Society is devoted to presenting classical guitar to the Oslo public through its international concert series and through community outreach efforts. The Outreach Concert Series provides excellent classical guitar concerts throughout Oslo with no admission charge.

The program's primary objective is to bring great classical guitar concerts to communities where comparable experiences might not be readily available. Through this effort OGS provides a unique educational and enriching experience while stimulating an interest in classical guitar and classical music in general. Long-term goals include increasing the number of concerts we provide each year, particularly in the area of in-school performances, as well as increasing our regular audience size at our evening public performances.

The Outreach Concert Series will provide several high-quality classical guitar concerts in Oslo each season to be given by a few selected artists. Typically, artists will be from Norway. Concerts are free, open to the public, and will take place in a variety of venues including schools and public venues. OGS will take care of most concert-related arrangements including artist lodging, transportation, concert programs, and publicity, and will work in conjunction with local venues for concert space.
